Job description

Interventional Technologist Agency

Our client, a healthcare company, is looking for an Interventional Technologist Agency for their Royal Oak, MI location. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor patients undergoing routine invasive, interventional procedures. Provide intra-procedural technical support and quality patient/family centered care.
  • May be required to perform and record hemodynamic/physiologic wave forms and calculations.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, physicians, patients, families, and all ancillary departments while consistently demonstrating the Beaumont Standards.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on technical equipment. Perform department skills validations.
  • Maintain radiation safety standards for staff and patients in compliance with the Beaumont Radiation Safety Department.
  • May be required to provide training to less experienced techs.
  • IR Special Procedure Techs must be able to 1st assist physicians using sterile technique, and fully participate in image post processing, cross modality imaging (CT, U/S), 3D imaging, vascular, and cerebral cases if performed at the site.
  • Cath Lab Special Procedure Techs, if performed at the site, must be able to utilize IVUS, FFR, OCT, ICE, EKOS, Impella, Cardiac, peripheral, and Carotid interventions.
  • EP Lab Special Procedure Techs, if performed at the site, must be able to utilize ICE, participate in device implants, and circulate in all other EP cases. As well as 3D mapping, advanced EP procedures, and laser lead extractions

Requirements include:

  • Required Associate's Degree Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT).
  • Required Associate's Degree or equivalent in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, training and/or education.
  • 3 years of relevant experience Employee must have more than 3 + years of Interventional experience. Required
  • Employee must be an expert and able to train others in the clinical skills listed within below grid per each individual department and/or site scope.
