Job Summary:

The Breast Radiologist is a critical member of SimonMed Imaging's subspecialty radiology team, focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic breast imaging and image-guided procedures. This role exists to support early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer and related conditions while providing an exceptional patient experience. The radiologist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary breast care team and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.


Job Duties:

  • Interpret screening and diagnostic 2D/3D mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
  • Communicate diagnostic findings effectively with referring providers and patients when appropriate.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, including tumor boards and case reviews.
  • Contribute to protocol development and quality assurance in compliance with ACR and MQSA guidelines.
  • Ensure timely report turnaround and high standards of patient care.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, AI tools, and best practices in breast imaging.

Education and Experience:

  • MD or DO with completion of a radiology residency and fellowship in breast imaging or women's imaging.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of post-training experience preferred; recent fellowship graduates considered.
  • Experience with high-volume outpatient or hybrid imaging settings preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in mammography, breast ultrasound, and MRI interpretation.
  • Skilled in performing a range of breast biopsies and localizations.
  • Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and voice recognition systems (experience with Philips and Inteal Rad preferred).
  • Understanding of ACR, BI-RADS, and MQSA compliance standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and referring providers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Passion for patient-centered care, innovation, and clinical quality.
