Title: Drafter - 3D Modeler
Location: Atlanta, GA or Buford, GA
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire 
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $36.00/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days per week in office

Job Description
We are seeking 3D Modeler-Drafters to support electrical substation design projects. This opportunity is open to candidates ranging from entry-level through experienced designers and offers the opportunity to develop technical drafting and 3D modeling skills within the power and utilities industry. Candidates should have either Autodesk Inventor experience or previous substation experience. Entry-level candidates with experience using similar 3D modeling/design software such as SolidWorks, Revit, or Fusion 360 will also be considered.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and modify 3D models and technical drawings for electrical substation projects
  • Create and update drawings based on engineering requirements and project standards
  • Support Engineers and Project Managers throughout the design process
  • Incorporate design revisions and engineering markups into drawings and models
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality project documentation
  • Work on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Follow client-specific drafting, modeling, and document control standards
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and occasional field/site visits
Qualifications
  • 0–7 years of drafting, design, 3D modeling, or related experience
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor OR electrical substation design strongly preferred
  • Entry-level candidates may have experience with Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit, Fusion 360, or similar 3D modeling software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings
  • Ability to work effectively with Engineers, Project Managers, and other designers
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn new software, design standards, and substation applications
