What You'll Get to Do
As a CAD Designer, you'll play a key role in transforming design concepts into precise, buildable solutions. You'll collaborate across teams to support projects from early design through fabrication, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with project goals.
Job responsibilities include:
- Create detailed shop drawings for architectural glazing systems such as storefronts, curtain walls, and window walls
- Develop fabrication packages including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and CNC-ready part details
- Review architectural and structural contract documents to ensure accuracy, constructability, and system compliance
- Partner with Project Managers and Estimators to identify design conflicts, resolve challenges, and support value engineering efforts
- Maintain organized, up-to-date drafting files within a collaborative team environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance drafting standards and workflows
What We Are Looking For
We're looking for a detail-driven professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and takes pride in producing high-quality work. You thrive in a collaborative environment and understand the impact that precision and communication have on project success.
- 3-5 years of experience in CAD drafting/design (AutoCAD required)
- Proficiency with Autodesk products; Revit experience is a plus
- Experience in the glazing/fenestration industry preferred; backgrounds in architectural, structural, or mechanical design also considered
- Experience at a CAD Operator, Junior Designer level, or higher
- Strong understanding of both submittal drawings and detailed fabrication packages
