Job Title: CNC Fabrication Engineer
Location: Peoria, Illinois

Job Summary:
Responsible for CNC machining, fixture design, process development, and supporting automated welding cell projects. The role involves CNC programming, 3D modeling, equipment support, and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver manufacturing solutions within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute CNC machining processes and manufacturing schedules.
  • Program and operate CNC machines including Haas, Mazak, DMG, and multi-axis machining centers.
  • Create and modify G-Code/NC Code programs.
  • Design fixtures, jigs, End-of-Arm tooling, and automation components using SolidWorks 3D modeling.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, and system layouts.
  • Support automation system integration and validation activities.
  • Develop BOMs and support product builds.
  • Train technicians/operators on processes and equipment.
  • Use measurement tools and power tools for fabrication activities.
  • Travel up to 20% for client system integration support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Technical Practice, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in CNC machining, manufacturing, or production engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-Code, NC Code, Mastercam).
  • Experience with Haas, Mazak, DMG, or similar CNC machines.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks/CAD modeling and fixture design.
  • Knowledge of automated welding systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
