Job description

Automation Engineering Technician

Location: Northern Rhode Island
Schedule: 1st Shift
Compensation: $30-$35/HR plus benefits

We are seeking an Automation Engineering Technician to support robotics, automation systems, and production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role focused on equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, changeovers, and production support.

Responsibilities:
โ€ข Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment
โ€ข Support robotics, automation systems, sensors, and related equipment
โ€ข Perform equipment setups, changeovers, and startup activities
โ€ข Complete preventive maintenance and equipment repairs
โ€ข Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
โ€ข Support manufacturing operations to maximize equipment uptime
โ€ข Work with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve equipment issues
โ€ข Assist with automation improvements and equipment upgrades
โ€ข Train and support less experienced technicians as needed

Requirements:
โ€ข 3+ years of automation, robotics, maintenance, or manufacturing technician experience
โ€ข Experience supporting automated production equipment
โ€ข Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical and electrical systems
โ€ข Experience with equipment setup, changeovers, and preventive maintenance
โ€ข Ability to read schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
