Schedule: Full Time - Nights |3-12 hour shifts| 7p-7:30a

Hourly Rate: $35.35 to $53.58 an hour

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with behavioral health and psychiatric conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients and develop individualized nursing care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Monitor patient condition and document care in the EMR.
  • Respond to psychiatric crises using appropriate de-escalation and intervention techniques.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups and provide patient education.
  • Implement seclusion and restraint procedures in accordance with policy when clinically indicated.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, social workers, and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, coping strategies, and discharge planning.
  • Promote patient safety, recovery, and positive clinical outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1.  Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
2.  Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3.  Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
4.  Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
5.  Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
