Hawaiʻi Island Community Health Center (HICHC)
Department: 340B Program Administration & Compliance
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Position Summary

Hawaiʻi Island Community Health Center is seeking a 340B Specialist to support day-to-day operations of the 340B Program. This entry-level pharmacy role focuses on procurement, inventory management, and compliance activities while ensuring adherence to 340B Program regulations and organizational protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support 340B program operations to ensure compliance with federal and organizational guidelines
  • Assist with medication procurement, inventory tracking, and supply distribution across clinic locations
  • Coordinate deliveries, verify tracking, and communicate with patients and clinic staff
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct physical counts, and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate, auditable records (invoices, usage reports, inventory systems)
  • Ensure medications are stored and handled in accordance with safety and compliance standards
  • Participate in audits to ensure 340B compliance and prevent diversion or duplicate discounts
  • Provide cross-coverage support within pharmacy services as needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain Hawaiʻi Pharmacy Technician registration within 90 days of hire
  • Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a pharmacy technician or in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of 340B Program, HRSA guidelines, or pharmacy inventory systems
  • Experience with procurement, inventory management, or data analysis
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
Licensure & Requirements
  • Completion of 340B University training within 3 months of hire
  • Valid Hawaiʻi driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • Ability to travel island-wide for deliveries and clinic support
