Job description

The Branch ISD Special Education Department serves students pre-K to age 26 with mild to severe impairments and works closely with the local schools in Branch County to provide: instructional services, hearing and vision services, physical and occupational therapy, speech, psychological, and nursing services. The special education department is devoted to the success of every student. This is an exciting opportunity to become a team member who is committed to the vision of educating all learners while fostering positive attitudes and work habits. This position is for someone that respects diversity. If you are highly motivated and have a passion to work with students with disabilities, this position is for you.
The school social worker serves as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to seek out, coordinate, connect and navigate students and families to supports and resources. The school social worker develops partnerships within the school and community to ensure that students and families receive access to human services; social services; and mental health supports in order to meet needs and support student achievement.
Salary range is $58,315- $93,304 (contingent on years of experience).
