Job description

Summary
Performs maintenance related repairs on all District-owned vehicles as assigned
Essential Duties
  • Repairs and services all District vehicles
  • Performs extensive monthly inspections on all vehicles in the school fleet
  • Performs on-the-road service calls for all District vehicles Signs for all parts and materials issued by the parts manager and for service rendered to vehicles
  • Maintains fuel and oil levels in District vehicles
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator

Required Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Certification/Licensure
Valid Driver License required
Must be insurable by Fulton County Board of Education
Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver License with passenger, S, and air brake endorsements preferred
Experience Qualifications
None required; Some experience as a mechanic preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent driving record
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal

  • Hazardous physical conditions
  • Exposure to mechanical parts, electrical currents
