Job Description:

Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Developer with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This role offers flexibility of up to 16 hours of telework per week, based on program needs and sprint priorities.

As a Backend Software Developer, you will develop, maintain, and enhance backend software solutions supporting critical national security missions. Working alongside a collaborative engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of secure and reliable software applications while supporting Agile development practices and software quality initiatives. You'll collaborate with software engineers, system engineers, and mission stakeholders to deliver backend solutions that support evolving mission requirements.

Work Schedule:

  • Telework: Up to 16 hours per week. Telework availability is dependent upon sprint tasking and program requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend software applications based on documented requirements.
  • Support the design, implementation, and integration of backend software components within existing and new system environments.
  • Analyze software requirements and contribute to software design and performance improvements.
  • Debug existing software, resolve defects, and implement software enhancements.
  • Support the development and execution of test procedures for software components.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation supporting software development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, system engineers, and mission stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities to help ensure the reliability and quality of developed software.
  • Support Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and team collaboration.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in software development processes and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Four (4) additional years of Software Engineering experience supporting projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience supporting the development and execution of test procedures for software components.
  • Experience generating technical documentation.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience ensuring quality control of developed and modified software.
