Job Description
The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to shape and bend metal materials into precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
  • Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and form metal according to technical drawings and specifications. Ensure the machine is properly calibrated and adjusted for each job.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine settings, material specifications, and sequence of operations.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload metal sheets or coils onto the press brake machine.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for accuracy, dimensions, and quality. Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to ensure all products meet specified tolerances and standards.
  • Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press brake machines to ensure they are operating efficiently. Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to maintenance teams.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with hydraulic, mechanical, or CNC press brake equipment and operating/setting up CNC press brake machines in a metal manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders for metal forming or fabrication processes.
  • Experience using precision measurement tools, including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
