Being part of a union means they are a member of a labor organization that negotiates wages, benefits, and working conditions on their behalf. Their work often involves reading blueprints, aligning equipment, and using specialized tools to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely. Working the 2nd shift may offer shift differentials and is common in manufacturing, energy, and production facilities.
