This role is an Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Oxford, North Carolina office.
Overview:
This is a temporary position, in the absence of a supervisor, which provides oversight to manufacturing operations teams (filling and
assembly associates, mechanics, or processors) within an assigned business unit. Responsibilities include:
  • Planning staffing requirements & assignments
  • Coordination of materials
  • Adherence to production schedule
  • Meeting of all Quality requirements
  • Provide direction to associates to ensure the team is productive, engaged and has the training/resources/materials needed to meet the safety, quality and financial goals

Responsibilities:
  • People: In the absence of a supervisor, assign associates to lines/areas as needed, balancing Revlon full-time and
    temporary associates. Ensure employees are working safely and are compliant with plant safety rules and GMP
    guidelines. Communicate necessary pass up/pass down information to associates and peers for shift handoff. Ensure
    activities within the Unit across all shifts comply with expectations set forth and are consistent with Department objectives
    and policies. Ensure that all equipment is operational and performs within expected tolerances. Interface with all other
    site functional areas as needed (Safety, HR, Quality, Warehouse, Planning, Payroll, etc.). Facilitate employee
    communication meetings as necessary. Maintain positive associate relations to impact morale. Attend various meetings
    to meet business needs. Supervise and validate line performance during NPD trials.
  • Continuous Improvement: Responsible for leading improvement projects and initiatives aligned with the strategic
    initiatives of the business to include, but not limited to: Safety, Employee Morale, Quality, Waste. Assess current state,
    establish targets, develop glide paths, develop and execute action items and achieve targeted results. Solve production
    issues and drive continuous improvement, reduce waste, minimize change-overs and machine down-time, ensure that all
    employees in the operation have defined job duties and expectations, and are managed according to those duties.
  • Quality: Ensure that associates are efficiently producing product that is compliant with Revlon and governmental
    guidelines and specifications. Investigate non-compliant product and determine root cause and corrective actions.
    Interact with Quality to resolve problems or issues affecting product quality within areas of responsibility. Review and
    sign appropriate paperwork. Ensure paperwork is maintained and up to date as per company requirements and policies.
    Work with Quality resources as needed to implement any new requirements due to new products or new regulations.
  • Financial: Responsible for operational financial aspects of the shift assigned: Control of Labor - Direct (productive effort);
    Indirect (support effort); Nonstandard (Rework & First pass yield issues); Material - performance to established standards
    & minimization of waste.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of experience leading associates in a production environment, preferably drug and/or cosmetic
  • Experience with operations in an FDA/GMP environment
  • 4-year degree in technical discipline preferred.

Essential
  • Operating knowledge of the Cosmetics industry - products, equipment and best practices
  • Knowledge of production equipment and capabilities, safe operating techniques and troubleshooting methods
  • Teambuilding and teamwork skills, and the ability to motivate associates
  • Effective communication skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Basic computer skills: Excel, Word and use of MRP systems

Shift hours: 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Revlon is unable to sponsor or transfer employment visas for this role; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa support.
The base pay range for this position is $26.00 / hour with a $1.10 shift differential; however base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short-term incentives as part of total compensation.
Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Employees are covered by the company-paid basic life insurance policy and company-paid short-term disability insurance (the benefit commences upon hire and allows for a portion of base salary for up to 26 weeks if you are disabled). Other benefits offered to employees include but are not limited to the following: long-term disability, supplemental life insurances, flexible spending accounts, critical illness insurance, group legal, identity theft protection, etc. Employees are also able to enroll in our 401k Retirement Savings Plan.
Employees will also receive 3 weeks of vacation, pro-rated based on date of hire for the 1st year of employment and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Vacation will depend on role.
