Position Description
Receives shipping orders from Production Supervisors and or Service Departments. Locates appropriate items to be shipped from warehouse and transports necessary quantities to staging area using powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks. Checks off units against pick list and returns order to Production supervisor and or the Service Departments. Assists in warehouse duties which includes unloading items from shuttle truck and transporting to and stacking in proper storage area. Must be able to identify all items manufactured or purchased by the company. Performs daily industrial truck inspections and reports improper equipment operation to Supervisor. Must be able to successfully fill in for Coordinator in the absence. (requires knowledge of all major aspects of Coordinators job.) Records time and production and performs other duties as required.
2nd shift Hours- 3pm- 11pm
Pay- $23.69 plus Shift differential $1
Key Responsibilities
Locates appropriate items and quantities to be shipped per pick list. Transport items to staging area using powered industrial and manual hand trucks.
Assist truck drivers in loading and stacking items onto trucks by hand or by use of powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks.
Checks off all shipments against pick list
Performs warehouse duties as required which includes unloading items from shutting with powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks and transporting appropriate storage area in warehouse.
Records time and production
Works eight-hour shift concurrently with other plant operations. Periodic daily and weekend overtime as production schedules demand.
May be assigned task of training new/transferred employees as required.
Other essential functions as may be assigned by management.
Required Education & Qualifications
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Education - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
