STAINLESS PIPING SPECIALISTS NOW EMPLOYEE OWNED (ESOP)
Stainless Piping Specialists is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team to operate our Pipe Laser Machine. Come work with a great talented group here at SPS!
Summary/Objective:
The laser machine operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of Stainless Pipe configurations. This is a 2nd shift position that will work Monday afternoon to Thursday evening from 2:30pm to 1am. The successful candidate will enjoy a three (3) day weekend, every weekend.
Essential Functions:
  • Perform typical Pipe laser cutting operations.
  • Select proper pre-loaded cutting programs.
  • Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
  • Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
  • Perform dimensional inspections.
  • Detect and report defective materials to supervisor
  • May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require
  • Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.

Education and Experience:
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • 1 year of laser operator experience preferred.
  • Blueprint reading.
  • Organizational skills.

Physical Demands:
  • This position requires standing, walking, & bending throughout shift, including lift and/or move items at times of over 50 pounds.
