Job description

Grace Management Group is based in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Founded in 1975, we have been leaders in the fragrance and gift industry for 50 years. Our brands include Votivo, Greenleaf, Bridgewater Candle Company, and The WillowBrook Company. Still family-owned and operated, we sell into multiple distribution channels in the US, and in over 60 countries internationally.


We hire talented, motivated, fun and friendly people, and are currently looking to fill the position of 2nd Shift Manufacturing / Production Supervisor, which we call Production Line Coordinator.


The Production Line Coordinator is fully responsible for managing all personnel and production needs that arise within their specified department. This includes but is not limited to scheduling staffing and production needs, ensuring that quality specifications of products are met, handling all reporting related to production and raw material movement, and handling disciplinary issues that arise with employees.


Job Skills Required:

-Great communication skills and the ability to relate to a wide variety of people

- Ability to stand for entire shift and manual dexterity of both hands

-Ability to safely lift and move 20 lbs.

-Ensure established housekeeping standards are met in work area

-Ensure a safe working environment, following safety procedures

-Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

-Must be able to follow specific instructions correctly

-Must be flexible in terms of duties, willing to work overtime as needed, etc.

- Ability to assist employees in troubleshooting issues that may arise

- Very strong computer knowledge, such as Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook

-Ability to quickly grasp the new Oracle computer system

- Lean Manufacturing experience and Six Sigma preferred

-At least 3-4 years of manufacturing supervision experience is required

-Hours are 4pm-2:30am Monday- Thursday with occasional overtime on Fridays and Saturdays.


Job Duties:

-Motivate, manage and supervise all personnel within the department

-Ability to train all personnel on any job within the department

-Schedule production needs and staffing in order to meet production expectations

-Data entry of hours and payroll entries of all departmental personnel

-Handle occasional disciplinary issues as they arise

-Ensure quality control standards

-Knowledge to start up, operate, and shut down machines within the department

-Suggest and implement process improvement ideas within the department

-Required to perform extensive tasks in Oracle software including work order and inventory transactions

-Required to act as a backup operator on all machines in the department

-Required to work closely with Supply Chain Managers and Inventory Management to ensure all work is completed as required and inventory transactions are executed properly.

-Any other duties and tasks assigned
