Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift (FT)

Northern Gear & Machining is seeking an experienced 2nd Production Supervisor to collaborate with a team dedicated to the success of our customers. This individual will be responsible and accountable for the employees on their shifts. They will ensure each of them follows all processes, procedures, and safety/work policies that we have in place. This is a working supervisor position. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Machining knowledge (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of CNC Mill and Lathes experience.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met.
  • Leadership and demonstrated ability to lead people and get results.
  • Strong team player, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the organization.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Database Software, and Order Processing Systems.
Responsibilities:
  • During your shift, all operators will be instructed to notify you of downtime and will you approve and/or move them to another machine.
  • Communicate all absences to the HR/Plant Operations Manager on the same day.
  • Make recommendations on increases and goal setting for next year.
  • Responsible for maintaining an employee & shift minimum rate of 2.0.
  • Evaluation/Train all new hires and make recommendations.
  • At the end of each shift, review and approve employee production.
  • Responsible for all products coming from their shift.
  • Suggest and drive continuous improvements across the plant floor.
