Position Purpose:
The individual in this position is responsible for the organization of accurate and timely material flow into and out of the manufacturing and/or warehouse departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Yard Driver:
Safely transport trailers/trucks across campus as needed. Must have prior experience driving large commercial truck/trailers. CDL is not required as the driver does not go on public roadways.
Material Specialist:
Support warehouse operation via transporting inventory and materials throughout the warehouse to and from Production areas using Powered Industrial Equipment including pallet jacks, fork trucks and turret stock pickers (TSPs).
Insure accurate, safe and efficient receipt of all inbound materials including, but not limited to packaging materials, imported goods, and internal manufactured items.
Maintain consistent level of internal support and ensure accurate, safe and efficient fulfillment of all sales order requests.
Support the requirements of the functional team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with receiving or shipping background preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
Basic writing and math skills required
Flexibility to meet rotational shift changes and overtime, as required.
Basic computer and data entry knowledge required. Ability to use a radio frequency scanner.
Knowledge of standard warehouse and/or production practices and processes helpful but not required.
Excellent attention to detail
Truck Driving experience - 26FT or above
Receiving or shipping experience preferred
Education & Certifications:
High School Diploma
Other Requirements:
Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Able to be trained and certified to operate PIT equipment: pallet jacks, fork trucks, reach trucks and turret stock picker (TSP). TSP equipment weighs approximately 18,000 pounds
Ability to pull, push climb, balance, stoop, knee, crouch and reach with arms
Must be able to walk frequently
Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment
Compensation: $23.72 - $25.00

Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.
