Job description

The Forklift Operator ensures that raw materials are available as needed and requested. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate movement and storage of goods in warehouse.  May work on own or as part of a team.

Shift Times

1st Shift: 5am-1pm PST

2nd Shift: 1pm-9pm PST

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Check machines to ensure they all have boxes, processing aids, and auxiliaries as per F.P.A. form.  
  • Move stock upon job completion as per F.P.A. form.  
  • Move finished pallets after the boxes have been checked and stamped by Quality control.  
  • Move finished goods to the warehouse and store in proper place.  
  • Housekeeping: all component parts, finished and unfinished goods not being used should be put away in their proper places with care.  
  • Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.  
  • Inform supervisor when stock is low as per F.P.A. form. 
  • At the end of the shift, leave at least one hour's stock.  
  • Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.  

Education/Experience Requirements

  • 1 -3 Years of Experience with forklift driving, assembly, manufacturing or similar.
  • May require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • Competency in reading, writing and basic math.
  • Valid driver's license and passing grade on Power Industrial Truck test.
  • Ability to remain organized and focused. 
  • Ability to communicate at all levels efficiently.
  • Schedule flexibility is necessary for this role as mandatory overtime may be required due to changing and last-minute customer demands. 

Pay Rate

1st Shift: $25/hour

2nd Shift: $25.50/hour
