Job description

Direct Hire: Experienced CDL A Route Driver

Seeking an experienced CDL A Route Driver to join a large healthcare services company. Working Location: Batavia, NY Pay: $26.95/hr. Shift: Must be open to the following start times: 2pm, 4pm, 7pm, 10pm (shift differential of.25/.50 depending on shift) Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K with company match, PTO, paid holidays

Responsibilities:

  • Have excellent attendance
  • Meet established route schedules
  • Have good communication and customer service skills
  • Follow all company safety rules
  • Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
  • Be able to follow directions given by their supervisor or manager
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Possess and maintain a positive attitude
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
  • Deliver the product to our customers in a timely manner
  • Be able to work past the schedule, as production/delivery issues may arise
  • Ability to properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork
  • Perform a daily visual inspection of the equipment
  • Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Cross-train on other routes per department needs
  • Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed

Skills/Requirements:

  • Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
  • Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
  • Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
  • Valid Class A drivers license
  • Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations
  • Must have clean driving record per company policy
  • Have six months to one-year experience
  • Be available to drive nights and weekends
  • Ability to speak and read the English language
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
  • Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
  • Be able to use repetitive arm motions
