Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Job Description

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures while assisting in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. The technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images and provide patients with a safe and positive experience. The role involves performing CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (both stable and intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures.

Schedule

Friday - Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM with no on-call responsibilities (Three 12-hour shifts).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Education: Must be a graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and a high school graduate.
  • Licensure, Certification & Registration:
    • New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possess a limited permit to practice in the State of New York.
    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
    • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
  • Experience: Entry Level; limited or no experience; MIT Level assigned based on skill set and experience.
