Summary

Shape the future of production excellence by developing and empowering associates to perform at their best. As a Production Trainer, you will lead the onboarding and training of new team members while providing ongoing coaching and development for current associates to ensure production standards, safety expectations, and quality requirements are consistently achieved. You will play a key role in building workforce capability by delivering hands-on training, reinforcing safe work practices, supporting job rotation processes, and promoting food safety compliance. This role is ideal for a motivated and people-focused professional who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while contributing to operational performance and continuous improvement.

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Introduce associates to their jobs, including basic training, rotation procedures, and safe work habits.
  • Monitor associates’ progress and report to supervisor on a daily basis.
  • Review performance with associates and advise them of strengths and weaknesses.
  • Forward documentation of all evaluation forms to supervisor.
  • Reinforce evaluation procedures and clock-in and clock-out procedures.
  • Facilitate incorporation of associates into the work team.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements, including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management related matters.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of “Train-The-Trainer” course.
  • Strong reading, communication, math, writing, and analytical skills.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Perform tasks for intervals of 4–8 hours with 1–3 repetitions per minute.
  • Work in temperatures ranging from 32–40 degrees Fahrenheit with ambient dampness and wet or moist walking surfaces.
  • Experience exposure to chlorinated water (<50 ppm), carbon dioxide vapors (<10 ppm), dry ice (CO2), and lubricating oils.
  • Work in noise levels of 85–89.9 dB and light intensity of 120 foot candles.
  • Use tools such as knives, scissors, sharpening steel, shovel, and hand scoop.
  • Wear personal protective equipment including hearing protection, eye protection, chain gloves, rubber gloves, cotton gloves, hard hat, lab coat, and hair net.
  • Walk and stand for 4–8 hours on moist, wet, greasy, smooth, rough, and uneven surfaces, with distances greater than >100 ft.
  • Bend for 4–8 hours with forward angles <45 degrees, backward <2 degrees, and side <10 degrees.
  • Twist for 4–8 hours with forward angles <30 degrees.
  • Lift 10–20 lbs from floor level to 2–3 ft, with bending and squatting, at 1–3 repetitions per minute.
  • Reach for 4–8 hours with forward distances of 12–18 inches and side angles <10 degrees.
  • Grasp objects (chicken parts, hand tools, containers) using both hands for 51–75% of the time.
