Collins Aerospace is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to lead third shift manufacturing operations at our Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico facility. In this role, you will oversee manufacturing activities across two production buildings, leading a team of approximately 30 production employees while ensuring operational excellence, employee engagement, and compliance with company standards.

As the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for assigning daily work, monitoring production performance, ensuring adherence to manufacturing schedules, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment. You will provide leadership through coaching, performance management, and employee development while ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and the Employee Handbook.

Your mission: to deliver a safe, efficient, and high-performing manufacturing operation by driving productivity, ensuring quality, developing employees, and meeting production commitments every shift.

This onsite position is based at our Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

Work Schedule:

This position supports 3rd Shift operations. Candidates must be available to work the following schedule based on business needs:

3rd Shift: Monday through Friday, 9:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.

What You Will Do:

  • Supervise third shift manufacturing operations across two production buildings, ensuring production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 30 production employees, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Plan, prioritize, and assign daily work to ensure production schedules and operational requirements are met.
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, and compliance with company policies, safety standards, and the Employee Handbook.
  • Execute performance management activities, including coaching, corrective actions, and employee discipline when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and manufacturing procedures while promoting a safe work environment.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload distribution to maximize productivity and minimize production interruptions.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Human Resources, and Operations teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.
  • Monitor production metrics, prepare shift reports, and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supervising a team with more than 3 employees.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs, production reporting, and workforce scheduling.
  • Experience managing employee relations and performance improvement initiatives.
