Description
Hours: 8am, no set end time, just whenever your route is done for the day.
Pay: $18 an hour starting
Location: 2330 Apollo Circle Carrollton, TX 75006
Delivery Duties Include:
  • Loading the delivery truck and verifying that the product loaded into the delivery truck is correct to ensure that the right product leaves the building.
  • Deliver the product into customers home/facility in a safe and appropriate manner to avoid damage and injuries.
  • Assembling the product correctly and efficiently to ensure the product is in safe working order when they leave the delivery site.
  • Have and maintain a safe driving record and a DOT medical card to drive company vehicles.
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with all company employees, customers, owners and vendors.
  • Deliver product to and remove product from state fairs, home & garden shows, model homes, and any other special events that arise.
  • Understand and follow all safety policies.
  • Daily pre-trip inspection of the company vehicle to ensure that the vehicle is in satisfactory condition to be operated.
  • Ensure that all paperwork and database entries filled out completely, accurately and turned in at the end of each work day to avoid delays in invoicing
  • Responsible for safekeeping and the ensuring of authorized use of fuel cards/company issued credit cards.
  • Other projects as assigned

Maintain Work Practices:
  • Maintain work environment to 5S standards to conform to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Punctual: begins work on time and returns from lunch and breaks on time. Staff are required to punch in /out to ensure accuracy on paychecks.
  • Promote a positive team atmosphere with co-workers
  • Continually follow proper lifting and utilizing team lift techniques
  • Will be required to wear safety shoes with impact protection
  • Test equipment with customer to ensure product is in working condition
  • Document any damages or missing products

Marginal Job Functions:
  • Other projects as needed.

Requirements
Education:
  • High school degree or equivalent required

Experience:
  • 1 - 2 years of delivery and assembly experience with a strong customer service-oriented background preferred

Other Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license is required for local travel
  • Position will be subjected to pre-employment and annual motor vehicle record (mvr) checks. Must be able to successfully pass mvr checks to drive on behalf of the company.
  • Must successfully complete DOT certification to drive on behalf of the company.
  • Basic computer skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This position works primarily in the field delivering and installing fitness equipment at customer locations. Team members will spend time driving company vehicles, working in customers' homes and businesses, and occasionally working in a warehouse environment.
  • Frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Participate in team lifts of equipment weighing up to 400 pounds.
  • Frequently push, pull, bend, twist, kneel, reach, and stand throughout the workday.
  • Use hand tools such as drills, wrenches, and screwdrivers to assemble and install equipment.
  • Sit for extended periods while driving between customer locations.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment, including impact-resistant safety shoes.
