Job description

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Location: Middletown, RI

We are seeking a compassionate, attentive, and reliable caregiver to assist our non-verbal 16-year-old daughter who uses a wheelchair and requires full physical support and continuous monitoring. This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent weekday afternoon hours to provide dedicated care after school.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Continuous Supervision & Safety: Provide active monitoring and supervision throughout the afternoon.

·       Mobility & Transfers: Safely perform wheelchair transfers, repositioning, and assistance with mobility.

·       After-School Support: Assist with arriving home from school and settling in comfortably.

·       Personal Care: Assist with basic personal hygiene, comfort measures, and light afternoon snacks or meals as needed.

·       Engagement: Provide patient, gentle companionship and interactive support in a calm, structured environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

·       Direct experience caring for individuals with severe physical disabilities or non-verbal individuals (experience with total-care and transfer techniques required).

·       CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to complete prior to start).

·       Patient, observant, and dependable caregiver personality.

·       Reliable transportation and clean background check/references.

Pay Rate: $23 to $25 per hour. Paid training provided.
