Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Temporary 13-week Speech-Language Pathologist for maternity leave coverage June-August, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pediatric and adult patients. You will work closely with children and adults across various settings, providing essential assessments and therapy to foster communication development. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric and adult patients, utilizing medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to identify communication needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to unique physiology and developmental stage.
  • Provide targeted speech therapy interventions focused on improving articulation, language comprehension, social communication, and swallowing functions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, therapists, and medical professionals, to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Document progress notes, treatment outcomes, and patient assessments accurately in compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Engage in early intervention programs to support children at critical stages of speech and language development.
  • Travel to ABA clinics comfortably with autonomy and perform high quality care and collaboration within ABA clinics.
  • Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support ongoing communication growth at home.

Qualifications

  • Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with relevant state or national authorities.
  • Prior experience working with both children and adults in clinical settings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of related physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders.
  • Experience conducting patient assessments and developing effective therapy plans for diverse pediatric populations.
  • Passion for patient care with excellent communication skills to engage children and families effectively.
  • Familiarity with early intervention practices and a proactive approach to supporting developmental milestones.
