Job Description: Velocity Architecture & Engineering DPC, a BRAVO Group company, is seeking a Project Architect to join our team. This role is ideal for a licensed architect (RA) with proven experience delivering New York City public agency projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project development from concept through construction administration, ensuring compliance with NYC codes and public agency requirements
  • Manage design and documentation processes using AutoCAD and Revit/BIM, maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy
  • Support junior staff, providing guidance on technical execution and project coordination
  • Navigate NYC zoning, building codes, Local Law 11, and ADA regulations to ensure project compliance
  • Manage project schedules while coordinating with consultants, contractors, and client representatives
  • Interface with NYC and state agencies, demonstrating a strong understanding of public sector project requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid license as a Registered Architect (RA) in NY is strongly preferred; candidates with the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire (ie, have already passed multiple exams) will be considered
  • 7+ years of experience in architectural design and project management
  • Direct experience with NYC and NY State public agency projects is preferred; familiarity with NYC codes is required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
