Job description

We are looking for a RN Supervisor for our Private Duty Nursing Team!

Pay: $70,000-$85,000/Yearly

Responsibilities

  • Conduct case conferences with staff nurses and caregivers, documenting outcomes, and assuring the competency of private duty nursing staff through training, orientation, and evaluation of direct care personnel.
  • Monitor and record patients' conditions in the home setting, documenting all provided nursing and care services via electronic charting.
  • Perform both in-office administrative duties and in-home clinical/supervisory visits as required.
  • Conduct client home visits as needed, within a 100-mile radius, with proper authorization.
  • Supervise the clinical skills and performance of private duty caregivers and CNAs in the home care setting.
  • May participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and skills training of new private duty nursing staff.
  • Maintain responsibility for the supervision, instruction, development, counseling, and performance evaluation of professional field nursing staff, including proper documentation of these activities.
  • Ensure that all private duty nursing services delivered in the home are compliant with Company and State home health policies and regulations.
  • Serve as an available resource to other members of the healthcare team in identifying and meeting patients' in-home care needs.
  • Maintain liaison with community health-related resources to support continuity of private duty care.
  • Participate in ongoing education, quality assessment activities, and staff meetings as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the Manager/Director, including travel within the designated 100-mile service radius to support field staff and clients.

Requirements

  • Position requires active RN License
  • 3-years experience in professional nursing preferred.
  • Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and be a strong communicator.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Positive, professional attitude
