Job description

Description

The Industrial Electrician will perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. Must take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize production.


Friday-Sunday 06:00am-06:00pm, 4 Hours "On-Call"

Requirements

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Troubleshoot electrical problems and determine the root cause and execute the necessary repair.
  2. Design, draw, and wire electrical circuits. Determine proper fuse, overload, and wiring sizes as specified by the current electric code rules.
  3. Has an in-depth working knowledge of the various controls such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Okuma, Allen Bradley, etc.
  4. Troubleshoot electrical circuits to component level.
  5. Replace electrical components on a circuit board. 
  6. Be able to write and test ladder logic programs in programmable controllers.
  7. Recover machines from all data loss.
  8. Call for technical assistance and work with them to determine failures and document any procedures obtained to the network drive.
  9. Must have a good understanding of MP2 procedures.
  10. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. 
  11. Performs miscellaneous work assignments as directed. 
  12. Must maintain a good attendance record.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Protective Clothing and Equipment Required: 

PPE: Safety goggles, hearing protections, steel-toe non-slip safety shoes, arc flash equipment, bump caps, face shield, welding helmet and gloves, lanyards, body harness. When handling sharp objects or parts, it is required that cut resistant gloves be worn.
