Job description

Position Summary

Colorful Concrete Solutions (CCS) is seeking a hands-on Lead Installer to lead our installation team and work alongside the crew every day. This is not an office management position. The ideal candidate is an experienced installer who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, leads from the front, and is willing to be actively involved in every phase of concrete coating installations.

You will spend the majority of your time in the field preparing concrete surfaces, operating equipment, applying coating systems, troubleshooting jobsite challenges, and ensuring every project meets CCS quality standards. While this role includes leading and training crew members, the primary responsibility is producing high-quality installations safely, efficiently, and consistently.

About CCS

Colorful Concrete Solutions (CCS) is a fast-growing concrete coatings company specializing in residential and commercial floor coating systems. We have built our reputation on exceptional craftsmanship, durable products, and outstanding customer service. Every project reflects our commitment to quality, and every team member plays a direct role in our success.

Key Responsibilities

Field Production & Installation

  • Lead and actively participate in daily concrete coating installations
  • Perform concrete preparation including grinding, crack repair, patching, and surface profiling
  • Mix and apply coating systems according to manufacturer specifications
  • Operate grinders, vacuums, mixers, sprayers, and related equipment
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to CCS quality standards
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and jobsite conditions
  • Complete detailed final inspections and quality control checks
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites
  • Meet production schedules while maintaining workmanship standards

Crew Leadership

  • Lead by example and work alongside crew members throughout project execution
  • Train and coach installers on proper techniques, safety procedures, and quality expectations
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor workflow on job sites
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
  • Ensure crew adherence to safety policies and operational standards

Equipment & Materials

  • Load and unload materials and equipment daily
  • Inspect, maintain, and properly store tools and equipment
  • Monitor material usage and minimize waste
  • Report equipment issues and coordinate necessary repairs
  • Maintain company vehicles, trailers, and production equipment

Customer Communication

  • Serve as the onsite point of contact during installations
  • Communicate project progress and expectations with customers
  • Address customer questions professionally and promptly
  • Ensure every customer receives an exceptional installation experience

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of hands-on construction, concrete, coating, flooring, or related trade experience
  • Proven experience leading crews while actively performing field work
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work in physically demanding environments
  • Experience operating power tools, construction equipment, and jobsite machinery
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
  • Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing jobsite conditions
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred

  • Experience with concrete coatings, epoxy flooring, polyaspartic systems, or decorative concrete
  • Experience with concrete grinding and surface preparation equipment
  • Knowledge of coating application techniques and curing requirements
  • Background in garage floor coatings, commercial flooring, or industrial coatings
  • Experience training and mentoring installers
  • CDL or equipment towing experience a plus

What Success Looks Like

  • Produces high-quality installations that meet CCS standards
  • Leads crews effectively through example and work ethic
  • Completes projects on time and safely
  • Maintains low material waste and high efficiency
  • Earns positive customer reviews and referrals
  • Helps develop less-experienced installers into skilled crew members

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Performance and production incentives
  • Company vehicle for use on the job
  • Company cell phone
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Advancement opportunities within a growing company

Why This Role Is Different

This position is ideal for a skilled installer, foreman, or construction crew leader who enjoys being in the field and takes pride in producing exceptional work. If you'd rather build great projects than sit behind a desk, we want to talk to you.
