  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • Reactive Repairs: Respond promptly to facility work orders, diagnosing and resolving issues across a range of trades including carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Inspections & Compliance: Conduct routine safety inspections, identify code or compliance concerns, and escalate issues that require licensed contractor involvement.
  • Vendor Coordination: Assist in coordinating and supervising third-party contractors and service vendors for specialized work, ensuring quality and timeliness.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in a skilled trade preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: EPA 608, HVAC/R certification, OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred. Electrical journeyman or plumbing apprentice credentials a plus.

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform tasks in varied environmental conditions
    • Preferred: Experience with CMMS platforms (e.g., UpKeep, Hippo, ServiceNow) and familiarity with healthcare or regulated facility environments
    • Strong understanding of facility safety standards, building codes, and preventive maintenance best practices
Desired Attributes
  • Self-directed and proactive: notices issues before they are reported and takes ownership of the facility environment
  • Technically versatile: comfortable working across multiple trades rather than specializing in just one area
  • Mission-minded: understands that a safe, functional facility is foundational to patient care and operational excellence
  • Clear communicator: keeps stakeholders informed on work order status, timelines, and any issues requiring escalation
Work Environment
  • Location: On-site (variable locations)
  • Schedule: Full-time; standard business hours with on-call availability for emergencies
  • May require availability during evenings, weekends, or off-hours for urgent facility issues or on-call emergencies.
