Position Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst supports DASCO's supply chain and procurement operations through inventory analysis, purchasing support, supplier performance monitoring, system administration, and process improvement.


A key focus of this position is the effective use of Brightree to support purchasing, inventory management, product setup, supplier management, equipment movement, and supply chain operations across DASCO locations.


The ideal candidate combines strong Brightree knowledge, Excel skills, analytical thinking, and practical supply chain experience to identify operational issues and help improve inventory availability, purchasing efficiency, supplier performance, and data accuracy.

The Supply Chain Analyst will work closely with Procurement, Operations, Finance, branch locations, and other departments to ensure supply chain information is accurate and operational processes are functioning effectively.


Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBrightree Supply Chain Support

Serve as a key Supply Chain resource for Brightree functionality related to:

Purchasing

Purchase orders

Inventory

Inventory locations

Product and item setup

Vendor information

Product costs

Inventory transfers

Equipment movement

Receiving

Returns

Backorders

Monitor Brightree supply chain information for accuracy and identify opportunities to improve processes and system utilization.


Troubleshoot routine Brightree purchasing and inventory issues and coordinate with internal resources when additional system support is required.


Assist with testing and implementation of Brightree process changes affecting Supply Chain and Procurement.


Develop strong working knowledge of how purchasing, inventory, equipment, and product information flows through Brightree and downstream operational processes.


Inventory Analysis

Monitor inventory levels across DASCO locations and identify:

Excess inventory

Low inventory

Potential stockouts

Slow-moving inventory

Obsolete inventory

Unusual inventory activity

Inventory discrepancies

Opportunities to transfer inventory between locations

Assist Supply Chain leadership with establishing appropriate inventory levels.

Review product consumption and historical usage to help determine future inventory requirements.

Support physical inventory and cycle-count activities.

Research inventory discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.

Monitor equipment and product movement between DASCO locations.


Purchasing Support

Analyze purchasing activity and identify unusual purchasing patterns or opportunities for improvement.


Monitor open purchase orders and supplier delivery performance.


Identify overdue purchase orders and work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.


Monitor product backorders and communicate potential supply disruptions.


Assist buyers and Supply Chain leadership with purchasing decisions.


Review purchasing history and product utilization when evaluating inventory requirements.


Support alternative product and supplier research when products become unavailable.


Supplier Performance

Assist with monitoring supplier performance including:

Fill rate

Backorders

Delivery performance

Lead times

Pricing accuracy

Product availability

Product quality

Service issues

Maintain supplier performance information and assist with supplier scorecards.

Identify recurring supplier issues and escalate concerns to Supply Chain leadership.

Support supplier business reviews by preparing purchasing and performance information.


Product & Item Management

Assist with maintaining accurate supply chain information within Brightree including:

Product information

Manufacturer information

Vendor assignments

Product costs

Purchasing information

Units of measure

Inventory locations

Reorder information

Support new product introductions and product substitutions.

Assist with discontinuing obsolete products and transitioning inventory to replacement products.

Work with Operations and Procurement to ensure appropriate products are available within Brightree.


Supply Chain Analysis

Use Brightree, Excel, and available company reporting tools to analyze supply chain performance.

Perform analysis related to:

Inventory utilization

Product consumption

Purchasing trends

Supplier performance

Product costs

Backorders

Inventory movement

Branch inventory levels

Equipment utilization

Identify exceptions and operational issues requiring additional investigation.

Translate supply chain information into practical recommendations for Supply Chain leadership.


Excel & Reporting

Maintain recurring supply chain reports using existing Brightree reports, Excel, and other available reporting tools.

Create and maintain spreadsheets used to monitor:

Inventory

Purchasing

Backorders

Supplier performance

Product utilization

Inventory transfers

Cost changes

Intermediate to advanced Excel capability is expected, including experience with:

PivotTables

XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP

SUMIFS

Conditional formatting

Filtering and sorting

Basic charts

Data cleanup and reconciliation

SQL database and programming and Power BI development preferred but not required.

Process Improvement

Identify inefficient or inconsistent supply chain processes and recommend improvements.

Assist with documenting standard operating procedures for purchasing, inventory, receiving, transfers, and related activities.

Work with Supply Chain leadership to standardize processes across locations.

Support implementation of new supply chain processes, suppliers, products, and systems.

Assist with supply chain activities associated with acquisitions and integration of new locations.

Backorder resolution

Excess inventory

Inventory aging

Open purchase order management

Supplier delivery performance

Brightree data accuracy

Product and vendor master-data accuracy

Inventory transfer opportunities identified

Resolution of supply chain exceptions

Requirements

Education and ExperienceRequired

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Healthcare Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

2-5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory management, DME/HME operations, or a related field.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience working with inventory or purchasing systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strongly Preferred

Hands-on Brightree experience.

Experience using Brightree inventory, purchasing, product, or equipment functionality.

DME/HME industry experience.

Experience supporting multiple branches or inventory locations.

Understanding of medical equipment and supply distribution.
