About the Role
We are looking for a Field Engineer Technician to join our Operations team on our project in New Albany, OH. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate total stations, automatic levels, and other surveying equipment to support construction layout.
  • Establish and maintain vertical and horizontal project control.
  • Perform construction layout by setting stakes, marking lines, elevations, grades, and reference points.
  • Provide and verify accurate layout to conform with contract drawings and project specifications, including foundations, anchor bolts, embeds, slabs, walls, and other critical items.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Must have previous construction layout experience.
  • Experience operating total stations, automatic levels.
  • Working knowledge of common field tools, including tape measures, hammers, torpedo levels, stick rulers, framing squares, and 2-foot or 4-foot levels.
  • Working knowledge of construction layout principles, surveying calculations, and field measurements.
  • Ability to calculate concrete quantities for footings, elevated slabs, round columns, and similar work.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to convert inches to decimal feet and decimal feet to inches accurately.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work safely in an active construction environment.
  • Ability to write clean and legible survey notes.
  • Basic math skills including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation.
  • Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
  • Demonstrates reliability and strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours

  • Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
  • Must be able to work outside.
