Role Description:

  • Analyze, determine, and document functional requirements related to the accessibility of websites and related solutions.
  • Define and align business requirements and technical requirements for accessibility.
  • Conduct impact analyses of business requirements on customer-facing applications and websites.
  • Gather and interpret user requirements and legal accessibility requirements into design specifications.
  • Participate in or lead design of customer-facing websites and applications.
  • Review website code and make edits to ensure accessibility.
  • Lead testing for websites and customer-facing solutions to ensure accessibility.
  • Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
  • Follow quality standards.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills; both written andspoken
  • Act as the functional expert on accessibilityfor websites and applications within the Department of Neighborhoods. Provide expertisein the business processes supported by web hosting platforms and related applications.
  • Provide expertise for defining functionalarchitecture of websites and customer-facing applications.
  • Plan and develop user interface strategy, inalignment with accessibility requirements.
  • Identify and track issues, risks and actionitems affecting own work and work of team.
  • Determine time estimates and schedule for ownwork and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Skill

4-year college degree or equivalent technical study in the area of accessibility and website design and development.
