Locations:

  • Groveport - 4500 Bixby Rd, Groveport, OH 43110
  • Polaris - 8874 Commerce Loop Dr, Columbus, OH 43240
  • West - 250 W Dodridge St, Columbus, OH 43202
  • Whitehall - 1021 Country Club Rd, Columbus, OH 43213

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Hourly Wage: $18.00 an hour

What You’ll Do and Why it Matters:

ASPIRE Community Integration Specialist (CIS) support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building independence, exploring their communities, and achieving meaningful personal outcomes. CISs create lasting positive impacts through encouragement, mentorship, and person-centered support.

  • Creating Meaningful Experiences: You’ll help individuals participate in fun, engaging community activities and experiences that build confidence and connection.

  • Supporting Independence: You’ll assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and health maintenance while promoting dignity and self-advocacy.

  • Building Community Connections: You’ll discover and coordinate community events, activities, and opportunities that align with individual interests and goals.

  • Teaching & Coaching: You’ll help individuals build new hard and soft skills in real-world settings while encouraging growth and achievement.

  • Providing Transportation: You’ll safely transport individuals to activities, appointments, and community outings as needed.

  • Ensuring Quality Services: You’ll document services provided and help maintain compliance with CMS, DODD, OOD, and CARF standards.

  • Creating Safe Environments: You’ll help maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for every individual served.

  • Making a Difference Every Day: Through compassion, encouragement, and consistency, you’ll help individuals live fuller, more connected lives.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

  • People-focused with a positive, patient, and encouraging attitude

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Comfortable working independently while staying organized and professional

  • Passionate about helping individuals achieve personal goals and community inclusion

  • Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and provide person-centered support

  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required

  • Willingness to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact every day

Requirements:

  • Must submit to a BCII/FBI background check and Nurses Aid & Abuser Registry checks.

  • Maintain American Red Cross or equivalent first aid and CPR certification.

  • Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and insurability standards.

  • Complete eight hours of training as required by The Ohio Department of Developmental upon hire.

  • Must pass a physical and drug screen
