Description
VersaTech is an Automation company with over 700 people and $100M+ in annual sales. VersaTech offers Instrumentation and Electrical services to the oil and gas market including construction, maintenance, commissioning and loop checking. VersaTech has offices in Houston, Dilley, Midland, New Orleans, Africa, and Dubai. Our scope of work includes both onshore and offshore projects in the US and overseas.
VersaTech has an opening for an Instrumentation and Electrical Commissioning Technician in several US Locations.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Complete Customer furnished Commissioning Documentation to track Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning of Instrumentation and Electrical Systems
  • Complete A and B Check Sheets
  • Perform Loop Checking on Instrumentation Systems
  • Perform calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic instruments and systems as needed to assist during the Commissioning Process.
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair plant instrumentation i.e., transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches, relays, etc.
  • Work with a wide variety of instruments including, ultrasonic, guided wave radar, mass flow, pressure transducers, RTDs, etc.
  • Understand piping and instrument diagrams, signal flow diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, one-line drawings, loop sheets, and wire lists
  • Perform all duties in manner consistent with environmental, health and safety policies
  • Work as part of the Commissioning Team to ensure that Loops are completed based on Construction Schedules and Systems Completion Planning.
