Job description

Position Description Monitor closed circuit television and radio traffic, fire and burglar alarms, panic alarms, elevator emergency calls, outside call boxes, and various security and public areas in the control centers. Dispatch radios to security personnel. Act as a liaison to the general public and safety personnel during emergencies.

Monitor opening and closing of facilities and communicate with fire alarm companies when problems occur. Review, record, and log security incident reports and disseminate to the appropriate staff. Investigate and prepare reports on incidents that occur in County facilities.

Notify local law enforcement, and fire department as needed. Screen vendors, visitors, employees, and packages entering the Courthouse. Control access throughout the building and control building key access by signing keys in and out.

Assign radios and keys to Court Security Officers as needed. Respond to malfunctions of parking lot equipment. Assist with the preparation of access control lists.

Perform data entry on computer for daily events, reports, etc. Assist visitors and employees exiting the parking garage after-hours. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of FCSO policies, procedures and safety practices; equipment operation (e.g., fire, and security alarms, call boxes, radios, general office equipment). Ability to deal with variety of variables in somewhat unfamiliar context; apply principles to solve practical everyday problems. Complete routine forms, maintain accurate records and public relations
