Objective:
The Terminal Supervisor oversees daily last-mile medical delivery and return logistics operations within the assigned terminal. This role is responsible for directing driver activities, maintaining chain of custody for medical freight, ensuring regulatory and customer compliance, and managing staffing and operational efficiency.
Key Deliverables:
- Direct and supervise daily terminal operations, including deliveries, returns, and route execution.
- Maintain proper chain of custody for all inbound and outbound medical freight.
- Ensure freight is received, sorted, and assigned to the correct routes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assign jobs and system data to drivers and adjust assignments based on staffing levels and operational needs.
- Ensure drivers maintain scan compliance and data integrity through receive, load, and delivery confirmations.
- Complete OS&D (Overage, Shortage & Damage) reports and all required daily operational reporting.
- Monitor delivery performance and proactively escalate delays, compliance concerns, or service issues.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, emails, and phone requests.
- Investigate and resolve service complaints and operational issues.
- Evaluate routing efficiency and staffing requirements to optimize productivity and control operational costs.
- Monitor terminal cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
- Support facility security by ensuring proper functionality of cameras, alarms, and badge access systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, healthcare logistics standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position; specific hours vary based on the location, typically Monday through Saturday, 32-40 hours per week. Evenings, overnights, and weekends are required based on location and needs of business.
Travel:
This position requires no travel.
Background and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Previous warehouse, dock, or terminal support experience preferred.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Work Environment:
This job operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment with unforgiving surfaces as well as hot and cold climates, with a variety of noises and odors.
