Job description

Construction Laborer / Skilled Trades - $20–$30 per Hour + Overtime

Landscape Management Group | Central Ohio

Tired of Working Hard Without Knowing How to Earn More?

At most construction companies, your pay depends on who you know, how well you negotiate, or whether someone happens to notice your work.

LMG is building something different.

We created LMG SkillTrack-a clear career system that rewards employees for learning construction skills, operating equipment safely, producing quality work, and becoming people the company can depend on.

You will know where you stand, what you need to learn, and what it takes to reach the next pay level.

What You Can Earn

$20–$30 per hour, plus overtime

Starting pay is based on your experience and demonstrated ability.

Every new employee completes a two-week field-validation period. We want to see what you can actually do-not just what is written on your application.

After that, your progress and pay are reviewed on a clear schedule:

  • After your first 14 days
  • On Day 45
  • On Day 90
  • Every 90 days after that

The more valuable you become, the more opportunity you have to earn.

What We Build

LMG builds complete outdoor-living spaces throughout Central Ohio.

Our projects may include:

  • Fiberglass and Biodesign pools
  • Paver patios and walkways
  • Retaining walls and outdoor kitchens
  • Poured and stamped concrete
  • Wood and composite decks
  • Fencing, pergolas, pavilions, and outdoor structures
  • Drainage, grading, and excavation
  • Landscape installation
  • Lighting, irrigation, and specialty outdoor systems

You do not need to know how to do everything.

We are interested in experienced tradespeople, equipment operators, and hardworking entry-level candidates who want to learn.

Equipment Opportunities

Depending on your experience and role, you may operate or train on:

  • Company trucks and trailers
  • Skid steers and compact track loaders
  • Mini-excavators
  • Saws, compactors, and specialty construction tools

LMG certifies employees as they prove they can use tools and equipment safely and correctly.

What Makes This Opportunity Different?

This is not just another labor job.

At LMG, you can build a career path from:

Laborer → Skilled Laborer → Advanced Laborer → Foreman → Project Manager → Company Leadership

Foremen have a separate pay plan and may qualify for additional bonuses based on the quality and production of their crews.

If you want more responsibility and earning potential, we will show you the path.

Who We Are Looking For

You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Show up on time and ready to work
  • Can handle physical outdoor construction work
  • Work with urgency without sacrificing quality
  • Follow instructions and safety standards
  • Take care of trucks, tools, equipment, and customer property
  • Take ownership instead of making excuses
  • Want to learn valuable construction skills
  • Want a career-not just another temporary job

Construction experience is valuable, but attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn matter just as much.

This Probably Is Not for You If...
  • You regularly call off or arrive late
  • You need to leave before the crew's work is finished
  • You avoid difficult or physical work
  • You are careless with tools or equipment
  • You expect top-level pay before proving top-level value

We want to pay great people well. We also expect great people to be reliable, coachable, safe, and productive.

Ready to Learn More?

If your background looks like a fit, we will invite you in and show you exactly how LMG SkillTrack works, where your current skills could place you, and what your career path could look like.

Build valuable skills. Earn your way forward. Build your career at LMG.
