Patient Services Specialist

Location:

Hilliard, OH

Pay:

$18.00/hour

Work Environment

Busy outpatient therapy office supporting patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and front desk operations. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and flexible to support multiple Hilliard-area office locations as needed.

Schedule

• Monday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM

• Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

• Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate:

• $18.00/hour

Duration:

• 5-Month Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

The Patient Services Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in creating a positive experience. This position focuses on patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, copay collection, and providing exceptional customer service in a busy outpatient healthcare setting. Healthcare experience is preferred, but strong customer service professionals with a desire to learn are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and professionally

• Guide new patients through registration paperwork

• Check patients in and out

• Answer and manage incoming phone calls

• Schedule appointments and conduct patient follow-up

• Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations

• Collect copays and process patient payments

• Maintain accurate patient demographic information

• Review daily charges and assist with office closeout procedures

• Utilize EMR systems to manage patient information

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of medical front desk, general front desk, or customer service experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent customer service both in person and over the phone

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Strong computer proficiency

• Reliable transportation and attendance

• Flexibility to work at multiple office locations within the Hilliard area

Pay and Benefits
