The "Research Experience For Teachers" is a U.S. National Science Foundation initiative which gives K-12 science teachers and Community College faculty the opportunity to engage in 5 weeks of cutting edge research in agricultural engineering, develop research-based classroom activities and participate in a range of workshops to improve their teaching pedagogy, communication skills and student engagement. Specifically, teachers will participate in two weekly seminars on engineering education best practices, and spend 3 days working on a research project. Teachers will participate in the U.S. NSF Engineering Research Center, Transformation of American Rubber through Domestic Innovation for Supply Security RET program.

b. Pedagogy seminar and curricular development: 20%
c. Professional development programming: 10%
