Job description

Part-Time Computer Science teacher position open at Utica High School for the 2026-2027 school year.

Part Time Position with Extended Days for Summer
- Proper Endorsements Required
- Valid Teaching Certificate
- Bachelor's Degree preferred



The Teacher will design and deliver engaging instruction aligned with the district's program of studies, utilizing best practices in technology education and career-readiness standards. The position requires close collaboration with the Technology Department and fellow faculty to ensure curriculum alignment, consistency, and real-world application of skills.


The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of current technology standards and possess hands-on experience with hardware, software, and emerging technologies that support student career pathways. Instructional responsibilities include guiding students through a range of topics such as foundational coding concepts, cybersecurity principles, networking, troubleshooting, and digital systems, with a focus on preparing students for industry-recognized certifications, including CompTIA credentials.


In addition to classroom responsibilities, the Teacher will work an extended 20-day summer schedule in partnership with the IT Department. This work will be split between the end of the school year and the start of the following school year and will support district technology initiatives, including iPad deployment, device management, system setup, and other instructional technology needs.
