Job description

Physical Therapist (Licensed)

Evaluates claimants/clients by administering tests and measurements. Tests include range of motion, gait, and functional analysis, as well as neurological assessments. Determines individual rehabilitation program needs. Provides or oversees ongoing assessment of claimant's/client's rehabilitation. Prepares, transmits, and maintains measurement and assessment records. Reports tests, assessments, and measurements to interdisciplinary teams as requested. Participates in writing and presentation of individual claimant/client treatment plans. Formulates goals and plans appropriate physical therapy treatment. Plans periodic reassessment of claimant/client progress and revises plan as necessary. Participates in ongoing continuing education and in-service training. Contributes to research projects and program development. Assists in training of pre-clinical and clinical physical therapy students. Supervises physical therapy assistant students and licensed physical therapy assistants. Involves therapy aides in the rehabilitation process.
