Job description

Delmar Distributing Company is a family-owned sales and service corporation proudly distributing Anheuser-Busch, Yuengling, craft, and imported beers throughout Delaware, Marion, Union, and Morrow counties in Ohio. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations and ensure efficient product flow throughout the facility. The Warehouse Lead works closely with the Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, and warehouse team to coordinate receiving, inventory management, order preparation, and route fulfillment while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment. This role is responsible for assisting with warehouse scheduling, data management, truck building, inventory accuracy, and team oversight. The Warehouse Lead plays a key role in supporting communication between the Warehouse and Sales Departments to ensure customer needs are met and products are available, accurately loaded, and delivered efficiently.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with the Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, and warehouse employees to support daily operational goals.
  • Import and manage sales data from Account Managers utilizing A-B Mobility and other company systems.
  • Build bulk and sideload delivery trucks using VIP while ensuring accuracy and proper product placement.
  • Communicate daily out-of-stock (OOS) information with the Sales Department and assist with resolution.
  • Prepare route invoices, scan sheets, and required delivery documentation.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards throughout the facility and C.E.W.
  • Monitor employee hours, assist with scheduling needs, and approve overtime as necessary.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards while promoting accountability and teamwork.
  • Monitor and organize warehouse data processing and inventory information.
  • Ensure proper product rotation practices are followed so older inventory is shipped first.
  • Identify product types, brands, packages, and proper warehouse locations to maintain accurate inventory placement.
  • Support employee training, forklift safety, and efficient warehouse practices.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse, distribution, or beverage industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems, inventory systems, or data processing preferred.
  • Ability to operate Windows-based computer systems and learn company-specific software programs.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively with employees across all departments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to lift and move products weighing up to 30-165 pounds.
  • Class A CDL preferred; company may provide training opportunities for qualified candidates.
  • Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as business needs require.
