Speech Language Pathologist Aide
Up to $25-30/hour | Columbus, GA | Full-Time Hours | 2026-2027 School Year | Full-time contract position supporting students by assisting Speech Language Pathologists in implementing treatment plans and delivering targeted speech and language services in the school setting.

  • Caseload within the Muscogee County School District
  • Full Time - Starting July 2026
  • 1.0 FTE, M-F
About the Role
Hello, Speech Language Pathologist Aides! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Speech Language Pathologist Aide for a school setting in Muscogee County School District. In this role, you'll play a critical part in student success by supporting the SLP in implementing treatment plans, assisting with screenings and assessments, and helping deliver speech and language services that improve student communication and access in the school setting.

What You'll Do
  • Assists the SLP with speech, language, and hearing screenings without clinical interpretation.
  • Assists the SLP during assessment of students, patients, and clients exclusive of administration and/or interpretation
  • Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
  • Follows documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising SLP.
  • Documents student, patient, and client performance and reports this information to the supervising SLP.
  • Programs and provides instruction in the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices.
  • Assists with clerical duties, such as preparing materials and scheduling activities, as directed by the SLP.
  • Performs checks and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assists with departmental operations.
  • Supports the supervising SLP in research projects, in-service training, public relations programs, and marketing programs.
What We're Looking For
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
  • Registered with the Georgia Board as a Speech Language Pathology Aide/Assistant
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • School-based experience preferred, not required
