Location: Greater Columbus Area (Managing sites across Columbus, Dayton, Reynoldsburg & Youngstown)

Schedule: Flexible schedule including weekends & on-call coverage

Status: Full-Time Exempt

Compensation: Starting at $55,000

Position Overview

The Regional Manager (RM) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of client sites within a designated geographical area. This includes managing SSPG personnel, staffing, scheduling shifts, ensuring coverage, overseeing post orders, training, handling short-term or emergency staffing needs. The RM plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of resources to deliver exceptional service to clients. The RM is a client facing role within SSPG and ensures their needs are met while maintaining SSPG order and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations in the region, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all assigned sites.
  • Manage the scheduling of SSPG Officers, ensuring optimal coverage for all shifts, and addressing short-term or emergency staffing needs as they arise.
  • Supervise the performance and conduct of SSPG Officers, ensuring they adhere to company policies, procedures, and post orders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met, addressing concerns promptly, and delivering exceptional service.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new SSPG Officers, ensuring they are adequately prepared for their roles.
  • Ensure all sites are properly staffed and post orders are followed by SSPG Officers. Regularly review and update post orders to align with client expectations, regulations, and operational needs.
  • Work with the Director of Operations to monitor internal controls that impact operations and address any inefficiencies or challenges.
  • Report on operational status, staffing levels, incidents, and client feedback to the Director of Operations. Communicate effectively with SSPG Officers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Address emergency staffing needs and ensure operation protocols are in place during these instances to always maintain effective client coverage.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations, supervision, or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership in managing personnel and operations.
  • Active OPOTA certification.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams efficiently.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Ability to quickly address and resolve issues related to scheduling, staffing, and operations.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain and build client relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and senior leadership.
  • Ability to adapt to changing operational needs, emergency situations, and client requests.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities and ensure smooth operations across the region.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Security industry certifications (e.g., Security Officer Certification, First Aid/CPR) are a plus.
  • Experience in scheduling, operations management, or security leadership is preferred.


Schedule and Availability

RM’s design a schedule that works for them and ensures smooth operations. By law, all employees have at least 24 hours of rest within every consecutive 7-day period.

Shifts, site assignments, and schedules are subject to change based on client and SSPG needs.

Flexibility is required when emergency coverage is needed.
