Sr. Engineering Project Manager (Life Sciences)Introduction:

The Sr. Engineering Project Manager will play a crucial role in leading complex, multi-disciplinary capital projects within pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing environments. This position involves managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and overall project execution to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex, multi-disciplinary capital projects within pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing environments
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects involving packaging and manufacturing equipment, production line upgrades, facility expansions, warehouse systems, cold rooms, VLMs, and facility/building improvements
  • Lead production line shutdowns, equipment replacements, installations, relocations, and cutovers
  • Provide hands-on floor leadership, coordinating various teams to drive daily execution and resolve field issues
  • Lead packaging equipment installation and upgrade projects, including fillers, inspection systems, labeling equipment, conveyors, cartoners, case packers, serialization systems, and related manufacturing infrastructure
  • Develop and manage integrated project schedules, budgets, forecasts, milestones, change orders, risks, and dependencies
  • Provide clear project status, financial reporting, and escalation to site and senior leadership
Requirements:Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 7–10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environments
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end capital projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing production line shutdowns, equipment installations, replacements, relocations, and cutovers
  • Strong technical project experience with packaging, fill/finish, inspection systems, manufacturing equipment, facility infrastructure
  • Proficiency with project planning and scheduling tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with cold rooms, temperature-controlled storage, and Vertical Lift Modules
