Job description

Job Summary:
NetJets is the global private aviation leader, providing exceptional travel experiences with a commitment to safety and service. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead technical efforts in designing software and data solutions, collaborating with various teams, and mentoring junior engineers in an agile environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership for engineering teams and contribute to the definition, design, development, integration, test and documentation of the product and its features in alignment with established technology and architectural standards.
• Collaborate with various internal teams like architecture, infrastructure operations, cyber security, data, and others to implement architectures that encompass broad perspectives and requirements.
• Coach & mentor junior and emerging product team members so they can all leverage software engineering best practices to ensure high standard of quality for all the team deliverables.
• Automate build, test, and deploy code and build pipelines.
• Build testing automation and associated processes (Unit test coverage, testing automation, pipeline automation, code scanning, etc.) into the software product.
• Work in a agile team environment to iteratively delivery value.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• 6-8 years of experience
• Previous work experience as Software engineer with 6-8+ years experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability and experience to work independently, leading and/or mentoring junior technical professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to elicit, analyze, and document technical and functional requirements
• Demonstrated technical leadership for engineering teams and contribute to the definition, design, development, integration, test and documentation of the product and its features in alignment with established technology and architectural standards.
• Proven experience leading development efforts and mentoring junior team members.
• Familiarity with AI tools and methods to enhance engineering productivity and workflow efficiency.
• Strong backend development skills in Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Java.
• Familiarity with front end development in React.js
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications and microservices using AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, Step Functions, GraphQL, REST APIs, and EventBridge.
• Experience delivering IaC solutions using Terraform
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Mentor and coach more junior team members.
• Working knowledge of Agile practices is highly desirable
