Position Overview
The Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) is seeking an experienced UI/UX Programmer 5 to design modern, intuitive, and user-centered interfaces for enterprise applications. The selected consultant will collaborate with business users, developers, business analysts, and project managers to create wireframes, interactive prototypes, design systems, and accessible user experiences while supporting Agile software development.
Required Skills
  • 8+ years of UI/UX design experience for workflow-heavy applications 
  • 8+ years designing intuitive user interfaces, navigation, and information architecture 
  • 8+ years working in Agile environments (backlog refinement, sprint planning, iterative delivery) 
  • 5+ years creating and maintaining Design Systems and reusable component libraries 
  • 5+ years designing SaaS, enterprise, or complex digital products 
  • 5+ years using Figma, Axure, Sketch, or similar design tools 
  •  Experience collaborating with front-end and back-end development teams 
  •  Experience designing WCAG and Section 508 compliant accessible interfaces 
  •  Understanding of secure UX design principles 
  •  Experience collaborating with front-end developers on HTML/CSS implementation
